Fixes Windows 10 and 11 flag emojis

It’s simply ridiculous that Microsoft doesn’t follow the Unicode standard and hasn’t added flag emojis to Windows 10 or Windows 11. I’m glad they’re losing market share year by year on that piece of crap they call an OS 😜🥳 Today, Windows holds about 31% of the market. Android about 41%. iOS about 17% and macOS about 8%. Linux has about 2% of the market. (Figures from 2023)

This GitHub project patches Windows 10 and 11 to properly display Unicode flag emojis across apps. No more missing flags—just install the fix and get full emoji support instantly.

Meta is shutting down the Messenger apps for Mac and Windows

I hate Messenger, but unfortunately a lot of people in my circle use it. The only way I remember to reply is when my Mac gives me a little red number in the dock when there are unread messages. I’m expecting grumpy friends complaining that I never reply anymore 😅😅 Maybe a 3rd-party web wrapper will pop up? Otherwise I’ll have to make my own with Safari’s “Add to Dock.”

Meta is killing Messenger apps for Mac and Windows, so desktop users will need to switch gears. The move pushes chats toward the web and mobile, signaling fewer standalone apps in Meta’s future.

DJI Mic hot shoe adapter for Sony sparks upgrade fever

Woot! I had no idea there was a hot shoe adapter for Sony cameras for DJI Mics; both the DJI Mic 2, 3, and Mini (different products). Maybe it’s time to upgrade to the DJI Mic 3 with a hot shoe.

GLS is now the cheapest for small parcels

I needed to send a package, and I’ve always used https://send.dao.as/ or https://www.guloggratis.dk/pakkepost, because the last time I checked, DAO was the cheapest, and sometimes you could save a bit of money by using Gul og Gratis’ Buy Shipping Label feature - but it turned out that the cheapest package for 0–1 kg right now (43 DKK as of October 2025) was on https://send.gls.dk 📦💸

Ship with GLS from 43 DKK using label-free drop-off at 1,800+ ParcelShops. Fast next-day delivery and 98.6% reliability make sending easy, secure, and hassle-free.

Atlas is tempting, but the Arc sidebar wins me back

I’ve tried using Atlas for a few days now, but I just can’t … live … without … my … Arc sidebar! I’m back on Arc now 🥳. Arc has changed the way I use a browser, and going back to an old-school browser is nowhere near as delightful as an old-fashioned ice cream on a summer day down at the beach 🍦💜

ChatGPT Atlas is a hub showcasing OpenAI’s tools, apps, learning resources, and business solutions. It highlights everything from study help and voice to pricing plans—making AI easier to explore and use.

Telmore turns 25 after the telecom revolution

Many years ago... 25 years ago, I had my hands in Telmore’s codebase; it was a super fun project that revolutionized the telecom industry, and one I spent many evening hours on while I was still in primary school. The payment wasn’t a salary, but an all-expenses-paid trip ☀️

Telmore turns 25 after shaking up telecom as an online-first challenger. From disruptor to household name, it’s a milestone for one of Denmark’s best-known mobile brands.
